What's new in September 2026

Proof of delivery in the field app, clients booking their own delivery windows, a new Integrations tab, and a guided start for new workspaces.

Highlights

The changes worth a closer look

Proof of delivery in the field app

Every job now opens with a brief: the time window, the site contact, access notes, and a load summary. Crews scan items to verify the load, mark when they arrive and leave, flag damaged or missing pieces with photos, and capture a signature. The office sees a field report on the request and can send a branded delivery receipt PDF.

Clients book their own delivery window

Turn on Delivery windows in Settings and the client portal replaces the free-text date with a picker of open slots. The booked window shows on the request and in the emails to the client and your office.

A new Integrations tab

Export invoices and payments for QuickBooks Online or Xero, and have last month's files emailed to your accountant on the 1st (Premium and up). Enterprise workspaces also get signed outgoing webhooks and a read-only inventory feed per client.

Group items that ship or store together

An installation in four crates, a sectional in three boxes. Group them from the bulk bar or the item page and every piece shows the rest. Pick one piece for a request and Stowley offers to add the whole group.

A guided start for new workspaces

A Getting Started checklist on the dashboard tracks real progress, guides walk you through each area using your own data, and empty screens now offer the next step.

Everything else

Also new in September 2026

Field app

  • Today's run: numbered stops, a Next up card, press and hold to reorder, and one tap to open the whole route in Google Maps.
  • On our way: send the client an ETA before you arrive.
  • Can't complete this job: record the reason, add photos, and choose whether to rebook. The office is notified.
  • Completing with gaps shows one advisory list of what is unchecked or missing. It never blocks you.
  • Item detail on the phone was rebuilt, with photo management and custom fields.

Client portal

  • Clients see crew status on a request: on the way, on site, or left site, with an ETA.
  • Completed requests show who signed, when the crew was on site, and what happened to each item.
  • Sign-in uses a six-box code entry, with a Forgot your code? email.
  • Item photos enlarge properly on phones.

Inventory

  • CSV import was rebuilt around a real mapping step. Sortly and Extensiv exports are recognized, near-miss column names get a suggested match, and warehouses, zones, aisles, and rows named in the file are created for you.
  • Condition PDFs three ways: condition history, compare two inspections side by side, and a claim packet with delivery proof.
  • QR labels come in Scannable and Readable templates, and you choose which lines print.
  • Print list: pick items, columns, and grouping, with check-off boxes.
  • Grid cards were redesigned so every card shares one layout.
  • Filters, sort, and page are kept when you open an item and come back.
  • Short deliveries: record what actually left, and the rest stays in storage.

Service requests and shipping

  • Receiving report: print the expected manifest beside what was received, with condition, location, photos, and the signature on file.
  • Request types are grouped as Inbound, Outbound, and On-site work, with a hint on what each does to inventory.
  • ShipStation: buy and void labels on an existing request, print PDF or thermal labels, ship from the right warehouse, and pass postage through to the invoice.
  • PO Import (beta) now understands Studio Designer, Houzz Pro, and Programa purchase orders.

Billing

  • Items checked out during a cycle are billed up to their check-out date.
  • Per-hundredweight (cwt) storage billing for movers.
  • An optional storage-age alert flags items that have been stored past a number of days you set.
  • A gear icon on Billing, Inventory, Locations, Clients, Requests, and Schedule opens that page's settings without leaving it.

Everyday use

  • New bulk actions on Inventory, Requests, Billing, and Clients.
  • Ask Stowley can now take actions for you, always with your approval first, and shows the result as a card.
  • The sidebar has a Create button and a help menu, and plan-locked tabs show as locked.
  • Short help tips sit beside terse settings labels.
  • Your organization logo now prints on every PDF.
  • A refreshed look across the app.
  • The live demo adds valet storage and wine storage examples.

Audit trail

  • Now on every plan.
  • Entries read as sentences, grouped by day, with a field-by-field before and after and a CSV export.
  • More is recorded: items created from mobile intake and CSV import, team invites and role changes, gallery links, client documents, and condition reports.

Your Stowley account

  • If a payment fails, a Fix payment button updates the card and restores access.
  • A plan that is set to end shows a banner with Keep my plan.
  • Canceled workspaces can reactivate after signing in and pick up where they left off.
