Do we need a barcode scanner?
No. Stowley uses QR codes printed on standard labels and the phone camera does the scanning. There's no hardware to buy and no driver to install.
Can we bill ongoing rental contracts automatically?
Yes. Recurring billing generates invoices on the cadence you set (weekly, monthly, etc.) and Stripe auto-charges the saved payment method when each invoice is due.
How do we track damage and missing items?
Every scan, return, and condition note is logged in the per-item audit history. Add return-condition photos to the work order and you have full proof for damage claims and follow-up invoices.
Can crews use this in the field with bad signal?
The mobile workspace is optimized for phones and degrades gracefully. Scans and edits sync as soon as the connection comes back.
Can we save a card on file for damage charges?
Yes. Stripe stores the card or ACH account, and you can charge it later for damage, late returns, or any add-on without re-asking the client.
