Head to head

Stowley vs Storeganise

Two different answers to the same question: how do you keep track of what you hold for customers and bill them for it? Storeganise starts from the storage unit. Stowley starts from the item. The full comparison, checked against both vendors' public pages in October 2026.

The short version

Same question, two starting points

Storeganise is an established platform for self-storage and valet operators. Customers sign up and book online, units and items are tracked, collections and drop-offs are scheduled with drivers and routes, billing runs through Stripe or Mollie, and sites can connect access control. Pricing is by locations and units, quoted per business, with no setup fee and two onboarding calls included. It is strongest when you also run a facility, or when consumer self-serve booking is the heart of your business.

Stowley is an operations platform for businesses whose product is a service around items: valet storage, wine storage, storage-in-transit for movers, white-glove delivery, fine art logistics, AV rental, and boutique 3PL. Every item has photos, a QR label, a rack location, and a condition history. Clients are invited to a portal scoped to their own items, where they request pulls, deliveries, and inbound drops and pay invoices. Billing is per item, flat monthly, or per hundredweight, with Stripe auto-pay on Premium. Pricing is a flat plan, published, with no setup fee.

Neither replaces the other across the board. The decision is about what sits at the center of your records: a unit someone rents, or an item someone trusts you with.

Fit

Which one for which business

Choose Storeganise when

  • You operate a self-storage facility, with or without a valet arm.
  • Customers are consumers who should book, pay, and manage boxes online without staff involvement.
  • You need smart-entry or gate integrations at your sites.
  • You want drivers and routes managed in the same system as billing.
  • You prefer pricing that tracks the number of units you operate.

Choose Stowley when

  • You hold items for businesses, designers, galleries, collectors, or e-commerce brands.
  • You need per-item condition reports, damage maps, and proof of delivery to settle disputes.
  • Your work spans storage and services: deliveries, installs, inspections, shipping with labels.
  • You want one portal per client that shows only their items and carries your brand.
  • You want a flat published price and a cut-over that takes an afternoon.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Which is cheaper, Stowley or Storeganise?
It depends on your shape. Storeganise prices by locations and units with an exact quote on request, and their calculator samples about $90 a month at the small end. Stowley is $69, $199, or $399 a month by plan ($49, $149, $349 on annual billing), with item caps of 1,000, 5,000, and 15,000. A single-site valet operator with a few hundred items will see similar entry prices; the gap opens on features, because Stowley's recurring billing, white-label portal, and reports start on Premium.
Does Stowley handle self-storage units?
No. There is no unit map, no move-in flow, and no gate or smart-entry integration. If you rent units to the public, Storeganise or Stora is the right category. Stowley is for the items you hold on a client's behalf.
Which has the better customer portal?
Both have one; the difference is who it is for. Storeganise's portal is built for consumers who sign up online, order a pickup, and manage their boxes. Stowley's portal is built for business and collector clients you invite: they see only their own items with photos, submit pull, delivery, and inbound requests, message your team, review documents, and pay invoices. On Premium and up it carries your logo and colors with no Stowley branding.
Can I run Stowley and Storeganise together?
Some operators do during a transition, or when a self-storage facility uses Storeganise for units and Stowley for a white-glove or business storage division. There is no live integration between the two; the overlap is handled by importing CSV exports.
Does Stowley have an API like Storeganise?
Stowley's Enterprise plan includes HMAC-signed outgoing webhooks (invoice paid, request created, status changed, completed, items received) and per-client read-only inventory feeds in JSON and CSV. It is a smaller surface than a full REST API and is aimed at accounting, reporting, and client-side integrations.
What does Stowley do that Storeganise does not list?
Client-scoped multi-client inventory for business accounts, condition reports with damage maps, item-by-item proof of delivery, on-site job requests, ShipStation rate shopping and labels, Shopify and Amazon order sync through ShipStation, opt-in text notifications, and QuickBooks and Xero invoice files. Storeganise, in turn, lists public online booking, driver and route management, and access-control integrations that Stowley does not have.
